Hi guys,

I hope you don't mind me mentioning this here? If not, I just started a new forum site called Aussie-TV.com and it has a little bit of news and also a forum where people can talk about TV, write blogs in the forum for use on the site's home page (I'll admit that I stole the idea from here) and review some shows if they like (which might also be used on the home page). So, people would be participating in the site's success in future.

I'm looking for interested forum members from other sites that have good forums (i.e. run by people that run them properly and keep the fights and moderator corruption to a minimum, and have good discussion), because they'd provide intelligent discussion and opinion. I saw your site mentioned on the Big Brother official forum a while ago and noted it for future reference. I've since had a look around here and like the type of people here (like Mica, MeMeMe, Ridge Rogue, Buddah and others to name a few). Those are the people I'd love to have in my forum - if any are interested?

Also, can Ridge drop in and provide some opinions sometimes? He seems to be the main man for that in this site. I'd be happy to publish some of his reviews or commentary there now that BB is finished and there are other shows to offer opinions on. Drop in guys and take a look as the site grows this year.

Cheers,

Aussie-TV.com

I've had a look at your site and read the news articles. I'll wait until the site takes off to join the forum; it's only a week old, nothing happening yet. I might be able to offer opinions so we'll chat sometime.

Do I know you from anywhere Aussie-TV?

The site is good, now all it needs is more frequent updates and good linkage. That might take some time to achieve IMHO.

Keep up the good work Aussie-TV, content is king and your blog has plenty of it.

Promote your site and submit it to all the search engines you can find, enlist yourself in a couple of social networking websites such as Facebook and Myspace and you should get some much needed attention.

I saw that site in stumbleupon, technorati, digg, google, australian-media.com.au and so on. I think there'd be plenty of people there and I go there sometimes. I'll still wait until the forum gets some members before I jump in.

If I may suggest for Aussie TV to post a little more in the forum and see whether that increases the appeal of the forum.

It's tough to set up any forum nowadays as there are plenty of them available to cater to Australian television anyway, especially considering that the many are now turning to YouTube and related video sharing sites for their entertainment purposes. Doesn't hurt to try though IMHO.

Maybe there's not all that many people there yet at that site to bother with the forum. I did a short Idol interview with them last month and it was published (just thought I'd "brag" about that).

I wouldn't worry too much, the site is still in its infancy so it's got a long way to go before it forms an established user base. Just sayin'

Would be a shame if he/she stopped blogging, I still check out the site every couple of days or so.

We don't now that BB is finished. But that Aussie-TV.com site has a general TV forum and I guess they'll advertise it or something next year. People can join there as well if they like because there's more scope for discussion about every TV show. I'll join soon enough. They've sent me questions a few times for my opinion on Idol this year and I've had comments published there. So I'm happy to recommend that people just spread the word about that and keep this forum here at BB Chaos for BB mostly I suppose.

I'll only join the forum unless someone else does first and posts a little. I have dozens of forums I make contributions to and that limits the time I now spend on each forum.

I doubt that you would know me, Steve. I don't spend a lot of time in other forums. I have started adding more sections to the forum and will probably start posting stuff there in some. It's just a matter now of going to a few popular sites to get some attention and/or creating a popular post on the site about the forum that will grab search engine attention. It'll get there and some advertising might help a bit this year as well. But as long as the news articles get people in and a few people post opinions then I'm happy for now.
