A contractor for ESS revealed in April that there was something under what they dug in the backyard. They also mentioned a riddle. The know-alls at the site where this was revealed didn't believe it and, as expected, abused the guy (they didn't believe the promo, the logo, etc at first, either). That contractor is laughing now while the other site is humiliated, I'm sure. The lesson from this year is that Ten and ESS should post stuff here next time, even if we call it speculation to caution readers, just in case.
What do you think about the treasure riddle? Where do you think the money is? I think it's under the bed but need to hear more riddles. Are you glad it's $250k or should it be more?

The HMs could sit on the lockers with the removable backing.
They can sit on the bed, the couch and the DR chair.
They can sit on the loo, dining table, gym balls (would be too heavy to lift if money was in them).

i think the prizes are crap....They should get cars, money, phones, everything...The winning amount should be $1000000....I suggested to the bb lot last year, that the money should be something they fight for. Dickhead knobbi is fake as all shit, playing it, so why not make the prize money something to actually be good? $250000, big deal. More has been given away in other series...they screwed up AGAIN this year..

After tax they will get approx 1/2 of that (45% tax + Medicare Levy)
In comparison to past years, it is a crappy prize.

I think that the budget is obviously very low this year, thanks to the other networks pushing the bidding price up to try to get rid of BB. The low quality of this series means they're obviously not spending money and haven't got it to give out in bigger prize money.

Pete Timbs says in TV Week today that the prize money might double and the winner might get a car. That all remains to be seen. Should it be doubled?

She was excited, but. I guess the overblown budget went to the celeb guests this year. It looks like this will be another series that makes a loss, but as usual the official word is that it broke even.
